Download MESA De Facto Standards
The MESA Standards Alliance values and encourages collaboration among utilities, developers, and vendors in all of its work.
MESA publishes open, non-proprietary de facto standards for the mapping of IEEE 1815 (DNP3) to the IEC 61850-7-420 information model. These MESA-DER specifications are used by utilities, software developers, and hardware manufacturers to achieve interoperability between utilities, Distributed Energy Resources (DER) facilities, and third party aggregators to meet IEEE 1547-2018 grid code requirements as well as scheduling and many market-based functions. In addition, these MESA-DER specifications include monitoring and control of DER and historical details of energy storage components.
All MESA specifications are free to download and use. Sign up below to access links to the relevant documentation.
